I recently read a quote and can’t seem to find it again but the general idea was this - when bad things happen, what will come out of you? If you are filled with joy and optimism, even in the worst of situations, that is what you have inside to let out. Wow, that stuck with me these last few days and I decided it is worth sharing. I am an eternal optimist. I believe most people are good. I believe my dreams will come true. I believe I have the power to be happy. Some people may think completely differently than me, and that is ok because we all get to choose how we show up.
At the beginning of this year, things were “normal” and then the pandemic struck. Ginger Threads Collections was our vision at the beginning of the year, we were building our website, securing partnerships with brands, placing orders, and getting ready to launch. On March 11, 2020 WHO declared Covid-19 a Pandemic. Our very first collection was scheduled to be released on March 18, 2020 and it was released that day. Some people thought we should wait for the Pandemic to pass, but we believed in our vision and we kept pushing forward! We have released collections every week since. And in July 2020, we opened our flagship store in South Lake Tahoe, CA. A crazy year - yes, crazy good!
We believe if we can successfully launch a store during a pandemic, it is obviously going to be a huge success. Both of us are optimists, we believe in manifestation and we have been manifesting this little life of ours. It may not be for the weak of hearts, but trust me, people make vision boards for a reason. It isn’t just a fun activity for a group of friends, it is an opportunity to envision your dreams and to have a reminder of them each and every day to look at as your work towards them. It ensures you don’t lose your why!
I met with a spiritual coach a few weeks ago and she asked me to close my eyes and envision what my dream life will look like in one year. Even being who I am, when I closed my eyes I wasn’t sure what I would see. But, it was a vision I now think about each day. She had me envision not only what my life would look like, but how would I feel, what would I be doing, where would I be, who would I be doing it with. The year ahead of me is going to be filled with new things and new joy! I love what my life has in store for me.
I hope that you will consider what you are filled with. Is it happiness, love and joy? If not, would you like it to be? Close your eyes and envision your life one year from now. How does it make you feel? How do you get there? Believe in yourself and your dreams will come true!
