Happy Anniversary To Us!

It’s hard to believe this week marks one year since we launched Ginger Threads Collections!  When we envisioned opening a sustainable fashion boutique the Pandemic was not in sight.  We created a logo, built a website and started finding brands to partner with, even attending a huge fashion market in Las Vegas! As the inventory started coming in, the Covid-19 cases around the world started to climb.  The boutique officially launched as planned on March 18, 2020 as the United States went under a stay-at-home order.  It certainly wasn’t ideal, but it was too late to turn back!

What is Zero Waste Fashion?

When we envisioned what Ginger Threads Collections would be, we knew we had to focus on our values to be successful. We value people and we value the planet. When we started looking for designers to partner with, we had an idea of what we were looking for and what we weren’t. But, along the way, we have been so incredibly humbled by the people we meet and get to call our partners.

From the beginning we 1000% knew fast fashion didn’t align to our values. Sustainable fashion is where our heart is! But, wow there has been so much to learn about sustainable fashion along the way. One of those concepts is zero waste fashion - which is a way of thinking - forcing designers to challenge existing techniques. So, what is zero waste fashion? And why is it even a thing?
