When we envisioned what Ginger Threads Collections would be, we knew we had to focus on our values to be successful. We value people and we value the planet. When we started looking for designers to partner with, we had an idea of what we were looking for and what we weren’t. But, along the way, we have been so incredibly humbled by the people we meet and get to call our partners.
From the beginning we 1000% knew fast fashion didn’t align to our values. Sustainable fashion is where our heart is! But, wow there has been so much to learn about sustainable fashion along the way. One of those concepts is zero waste fashion - which is a way of thinking - forcing designers to challenge existing techniques. So, what is zero waste fashion? And why is it even a thing?

As we celebrate Earth Day and Fashion Revolution Week, we ask “What is ethical and sustainable fashion?”, while also asking “Isn’t everyday Earth Day?”
Ginger Threads Collections has made it our mission to be more conscientious about where our clothes and accessories are made, and to know who’s making them. Are they paid a fair wage? Are the materials used harmful for the environment? Sometimes this isn’t easy to find out, especially because the fashion industry hasn’t historically been the most transparent. And honestly, consumers haven’t really cared much in the past either, right?
